Clear information.
Informed choices.

Learn to interpret product details, assess ingredient claims and ask informed questions.

Reading a product label

Start with the serving size and directions. An amount listed per sachet describes that sachet; it is not automatically a recommended daily dose.

Look for the full ingredient list, storage instructions and any warnings on the current packaging. Ask for clarification if a specification is missing.

Understanding quantities

One gram equals 1,000 milligrams. A 3 g sachet therefore contains 3,000 mg in total. Ingredient amounts should be read alongside the complete formulation, including any other components.

The Lifecell+ list supplied to us contains 23 entries totalling 2,770 mg; the complete formula is awaiting confirmation.

INGREDIENTS AND EVIDENCE

A nutrient’s role is not a product promise.

Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation and immune function. That does not, by itself, demonstrate a particular outcome from a multi-ingredient supplement.

For botanical ingredients, check the exact extract, dose and population studied before applying research findings to a different product.

Useful questions to ask

What exactly is in it?

Request the current label, ingredient quantities and the identity of any branded blends.

How should it be used?

Follow verified label directions rather than assuming that the sachet size sets the daily dose.

Is it suitable for me?

Discuss supplements with a healthcare professional if you take medicines. Herbal products can interact with medicines.
